On the same esplanade stands the Mohammed V mausoleum, a veritable little palace. Finely-crafted marble, bronze and painted woods under a mahogany dome perforated with stained glass form the case enclosing the royal tombs carved into a chiseled block of white onyx and resting on a slab of onyx and dark blue granite which shimmers like water.

Extensive remains of these survive in the archaeological site, located in a fertile agricultural area. Volubilis was later briefly to become the capital of Idris I, founder of the Idrisid dynasty, who is buried at nearby Moulay Idris, an important part of the history to discover.
Your next step is Meknes, another of Morocco’s impressive imperial cities, though a short distance from Fez, Meknes was quiet with few tourists in sight. Protected behind towering terracotta-coloured ramparts, discover the striking gate of Bab Mansour (one of Morocco’s grandest) and the serene mausoleum burial place of legendary sultan Moulay Ismail.

8 hours driving To Marrakech
After breakfast we will take a walk in the gorge and then take the off road track to see the nomad caves. We will continue via El Kelaa Magona, Valley of the Roses and the Skoura. Then  you will have the depart to Ait Benhaddou and visit the World Heritage Site. We will continue with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. Then continue to Marrakech

Marrakesh is more than just a city. It is a pearl polished by history and its tradition of hospitality which, for centuries, has known how to welcome visitors. Morocco is named after this legendary town which is one of its four imperial cities. A genuine and unspoilt place.

You go back in time once you arrive in Marrakesh. You can easily imagine the caravaneers loading their camels with food, tools and handiwork as you wander through the picturesque alleys of the old town. From the old Saadian Tombs to Bahia Palace, you will be driven to the famous and historical Yves Saint Laurent‘s Mojerelle Gardens in a carriage and you will be invited to explore the souks. Souks contain everything that a traveller could want: colour, atmosphere and smells, welcoming and smiling faces. The Semmarine souk specialises in clothing. You will find many typical clothes made traditionally in the narrow streets surrounding the souk. Some stalls sell jewellery and often antiques as well. The famous Jemaa El Fna is a medieval world where, day and night, storytellers, shopkeepers and snake charmers vie for your attention. Mischievous monkeys will accost you. You will be able to see the splendid minaret of the Koutoubia mosque.
This 12th century Hispano-Moorish masterpiece inspired the builders of the Giralda in Seville. Amateurs of the eternal Orient will want to visit the splendid Bahia Palace where surprising Andalusian gardens add to the refinement of the prestigious apartments and their secret patios.
Many treasures, especially famous riads (riad, garden in arabic), are hidden away in Marrakesh. Riads are houses, built around a central patio, whose outside walls are entirely closed. They are a symbol of the Moroccan art of fine living.
The Majorelle Gardens house a collection of plants from the four corners of the earth flourishing among elegant ornamental lakes and an Art Deco villa. Yves Saint Laurent’s ashes were scattered here
