How to get there: In Oruro, you should go to the Salinas de Garci Mendoza town, from where you enter the Salar de Uyuni to Jiria, located on the banks of the salar and at the base of the volcano. The Yuracochas are a chain of hills that are united, with each summit located approx. 5,000 meters above sea level in the Central Andes. It is known as the VinicuncaLimeño , due to its impressive resemblance to the Rainbow Mountain of Cusco . From its summits you can see the NevadoRajuntay, the Yuracocha lagoon and all the beauty of the Peruvian Sierra.
How to get there: From Lima you must go for 3 hours to the San Mateo District, Huarochirí province. It is recommended to spend the night here, to start the 6-hour walk to Los Yuracochas the next day.

The Painted Valley is inserted within the Ischigualasto Provincial Park, in the Argentine Province of San Juan. Ischigualasto, which means “lifeless”, was an ancient lagoon from the Triassic period, where numerous dinosaur fossils have been found. Valle Pintado’s layers of sand speak of the passing of time thanks to its mesmerizing multi-colored tones.
How to get there: You can access Ischigualasto by National Route 150 from the city of San José de Jáchal. The route is in very good condition and you have to travel 133km to the park entrance.
