Tbilisi Medical Academy was founded in 1992 by notable Georgian physician, pediatric surgeon, Petre Shotadze. Since its foundation, TMA has grown up more then 1700 graduates who work successfully in leading Georgian and International Hospitals, Universities and Scientific Centres. Tbilisi Medical Academy welcomes international students from around the world. The students are welcomed to commence education.
First year tuition fee should be paid in one installment, during the enrollment process. From second year, tuition fee can be paid in two installments, before the commencement of each semester. The language of instruction is – English.
In case, if an applicant doesn’t have a proof of proficiency in English, (language certificate or school-leaving document from English taught school) applicant has to demonstrate fluency to the University admission committee (can be done through the Zoom call).
*After receiving the necessary documents applicants are given acceptance letter from Admission Office of TMA.
The admission process takes around 21-30 working days and includes translation, legalization and recognition of the applicant’s documents from the authorities of Georgia.

Students are required to obtain D3 Immigration visa prior their arrival to Georgia.
Currently TMA does not provide accommodation facilities, however, Department for Student Services is always ready to help students with rentals on shared basis.
Prior commencement of Semester, it is mandatory for all students to hold valid Local Medical Insurance. Prices for local insurance packages vary from 7 up to 25 USD per month.
